Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal information Striva Golf collects through this website and in running our facility, what we do with it, who handles it for us, and the choices you have.

Effective October 15, 2026 · Applies to strivagolf.com and Striva Golf facility operations

01

Who we are

Striva Golf (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates strivagolf.com and an indoor golf training facility at 201-1685 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6J 1L8. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL).

We run the facility on the HawthornHQ facility-management platform. When you interact with us as a member or guest, that platform and the providers it engages process information on our behalf — see Who we share information with.

02

Information we collect

Information you give us through forms

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number and message.
  • Membership waitlist: your first and last name, email address, optionally your phone number, whether you are interested as an individual or on behalf of a company, and any interests you tell us.
  • Newsletter: your email address.

We only ask for what we need to respond to you. All fields beyond the essentials are optional and marked as such on the form.

Information collected automatically

If — and only if — you accept analytics in our consent banner, two tools activate: Google Analytics 4, which collects standard technical data such as pages viewed, approximate region and device type, and the Meta Pixel, which measures how our advertising on Meta platforms performs. What the site stores on your device is covered in detail under Cookies & analytics. Your consent choice itself is stored in your browser (a single local storage entry named “striva-consent”) so we do not ask you again on every visit.

Information collected through our facility operations

When you become a member, book training, make a payment or visit us, we collect the information those relationships need — for example your member profile and contact details, bookings and coaching schedules, payment records and door-access logs. Most of this is handled through HawthornHQ, our facility-management platform, and the providers it engages on our behalf.

03

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and membership questions.
  • To communicate waitlist and opening updates to those who requested them.
  • To send our newsletter — only to people who subscribed, with an unsubscribe link in every message.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how visitors use this website so we can improve it.
  • To operate the facility — memberships, bookings, payments and access — through the systems described above.
  • To meet legal obligations or respond to lawful requests where required.
04

Consent & your choices

Where required by law, we collect and use your personal information with your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time:

  • Emails: every newsletter and update email we send includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us at info@strivagolf.com.
  • Analytics & advertising: decline the consent banner and the analytics cookies are not used, the Meta Pixel never loads, and Google receives only cookieless, non-identifying requests. You can also change your mind later — . Declining has no effect on how the site works.
05

Cookies & analytics

Rather than promise what we don’t set, here is exactly what this website places on your device:

  • Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) are placed when the site loads, so Google can manage measurement. If you accept analytics, they hold a randomized identifier used to count visits. Google’s advertising features are permanently switched off in our configuration — Google analytics here is measurement only.
  • The Meta Pixel loads only after you accept analytics. It measures visits and the performance of our advertising on Meta platforms, and may place cookies on this domain and Meta’s (such as _fbp) that let Meta recognize visitors who came from its ads. If you decline, it never loads.
  • A security cookie (__cf_bm) is set by our hosting network for about 30 minutes to distinguish people from bots. It is not used to identify you or follow you to other websites.
  • Your consent choice is kept in your browser’s local storage (“striva-consent”) so we don’t re-ask on every visit. Clearing your browser data resets it.

If you decline or ignore the consent banner, the analytics cookies are not used, the Meta Pixel never loads, and Google receives only cookieless, non-identifying requests. Analytics never gates any part of the site.

06

Who we share information with

We share personal information with the providers who run parts of this website and our facility on our behalf, under contractual obligations to protect it:

  • EmailJS — delivers the messages you submit through our contact, waitlist and newsletter forms.
  • Google (Google Analytics 4) — aggregate website measurement, and only after you accept analytics.
  • Meta (Meta Pixel) — measures the performance of our advertising on Meta platforms, and only after you accept analytics.
  • Our website hosting and network providers — serve the site; their systems set the security cookie above and their request logs include IP addresses.
  • HawthornHQ — our facility-management platform for memberships, bookings, payments and access control. HawthornHQ engages its own providers (data storage, payment processing, email delivery and others); its current sub-processor list is published at hawthornhq.com/subprocessors.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, and we will transfer waitlist information to your member record if you later become a member, so we can administer what you signed up for.

07

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Enquiry emails are kept while still useful to the conversation; newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe; waitlist entries until membership opening decisions have been communicated or you ask us to remove them. Facility records — membership, bookings, payments and access logs — are kept as long as needed to operate your relationship with us and to meet financial and legal record-keeping obligations. After that, information is deleted or de-identified.

08

How we protect it

This website is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to the inboxes and accounts that receive your information is restricted to the people at Striva Golf who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information (such as payment details) through website forms — we will never ask for them there.

09

Your rights under PIPA

You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent for its use, by contacting us below. We will respond within 30 days.

If you have a concern about our handling of your personal information that we cannot resolve together, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia at oipc.bc.ca or 250-387-5629.

10

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website and facility evolve (for example, when memberships open). The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
